Wash Your Face

Did you know sleeping in your makeup can age you up to 2 weeks!? Whether you have had a long drunk night out, are a super tired mom, or just plain lazy, this is the night time routine for you to make sure your washing your face every night. Using solidly good products, it can be fast and easy, taking only a couple minutes. You will thank yourself in the morning.

Scroll to the bottom for the quick recap on this routine. Keep reading to see what the products are all about.

Micellar cleansers or also known as Cleansing Waters, are your best freaking friend. They act as cleansers, toners, and makeup removers all in one and are the perfect product to quickly removing the day. I like to apply my micellar cleansers to a clean soft wash cloth, or some sort of cotton pad, cotton ball, whatever you like. Then I swipe it all over my face, including my eyes and lips.

Quick tip - Find a clean empty jar or container and fill with cotton pads. Saturate the cotton pads with your micellar cleanser, make sure it has a lid, and keep by your beside for quick makeup removal. Swipe makeup off and feel free to crash. Great for traveling too!

My top favorite micellar cleansers -

Eminence Organics Rice Milk 3 in 1 Cleansing Water - This is for all skin types, it helps to brighten, hydrate, balance, and tighten pores all in one.

Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Micellar Cleanser - I love this for more sensitive skin types. It will help with hydration and redness while gently cleansing and balancing the skin.

Loccitane Shea 3 in 1 Cleansing Water - Simple shea is super gentle and hydrating cleanse, again, great for more sensitive skin.

I do suggest that if you can, using an oil cleanser or balm BEFORE your micellar cleanser. It acts as a great first precleanse and will get you that extra clean. It only takes about 30 seconds to massage in the oil or balm, add water, and rinse clean. Then apply your micellar cleanser.

My top favorite cleansing oils/ balms -

Eminence Organics Wildflower Cleansing Balm -  transformative gel balm transitions to an oil cleanser when massaged into skin and a purifying milk when emulsified with water. Great for all skin types, this is great for removing more stubborn eye makeup. Rinses clean, leaving you soft and hydrated.

Code of Harmony Oil Cleanser + War Paint Remover - This CBD infused oil cleanser is a dream. Great for sensitive, irritated skin, washes clean, easily removes makeup and leaves skin super silky.

Loccitane Shea Oil Cleanser - Simple, hydrating oil cleanser that is also great if you tend to be more sensitive. Gently and effectively removes all makeup without a greasy residue. Anything Shea from Loccitane is good if your more sensitive.

Last Step!! Moisturize! It takes 30 seconds to apply. Grab your night time cream, you can even keep it by your bedside next to your jar of saturated micellar cleanser cotton pads for easy access. If you prefer an oil, go for it. Make sure to get something that is suitable for your skin type.

Here are my favorite night time moisturizers/oils -

Eminence Organics Arctic Berry Peptide Cream - This is a great lightweight moisturizer but packs a punch for hydration. Peptides help with slowing aging and this cream is amazing for redness and breakout prone skin.

Code Of Harmony Glo-Berry Glistening Skin Oil Serum - Literally just wake up glowing with the stuff. It is soothing, calming, hydrating, great for acne prone, sensitive, and aging skin. Full of antioxidants to protect and correct damage.

Loccitane Divine Youth Oil - Made with organic immortelle essential oil to plump, hydrate, and anti-age over night. A little goes a long way and it smells so good!
